After installing a printer in Windows 7, you'd better print a test page. It can help you confirm whether or not your printer works. And also give you some useful information for troubleshooting.
How To print a test page in Windows 7:
Click the Start button --> clicking Devices and Printers --> Right-click a printer --> click Printer properties --> On the General tab, click Print Test Page.
